Take a moment this evening, assuming you have clear skies, and check out the full Moon. A full moon in the month of April is known as a Pink Moon, named after the color of early spring ground cover. This evening will also have a partial lunar eclipse only visible from the Eastern Hemisphere. Farmer's Almanac says this period through the last quarter of the Moon is the best time for killing weeds, thinning, pruning, mowing, cutting timber, and planting below-ground crops. Sounds like good news for green thumbs, if Jack Frost would just get out of town!
